dogtooth

If the tooth root hasn’t been fractured and it is treated quickly, you can easily re-implant the dog’s tooth that has been knocked out.

Pick up the tooth by the crown without touching the root, and place it in a container of cool milk. This will prevent the delicate tissues around the root from drying out while you rush the dog to the vet.

After the tooth has been replaced in the jaw, the pulp will probably die, but root-canal treatment can be given when the tooth is secure in the jaw again.

If you hurt your dog while grooming, you can expect these kind of reaction from him/her. Please check the brush whether it is too hard, or you tugging his hair.

If there is no physical reason for this resentment, it could be a warming signal that he/she is going to resent discipline in general.

Take charge of this situation. Get someone to hold your dog for you, steadying the head and neck with one hand and placing the other arm under his belly. Keep the grooming sessions to 5 minutes and reward him/her with a tidbit when finished.
