Have you ever looked at your pet dog’s nose? If not, please do so now. At first sight you may wonder, what is so great about it, it looks similar in all the dogs. No, you are wrong. The dogs have nose prints that are unique for each dog and never match with any other dog, just like our finger prints.

Please be informed that the nose print has been approved as proof of identity by the Canadian kennel club as early as 1938. A company in United States of America has come out with a product that can identify the dog by its nose print. The name of the company is “ID systems integrators”. They seemed to have developed a technique called “Dog nose ID”. Using this technique the company confirms that it ca n provide painless, noninvasive and tamper proof record, permanent in nature, for each and every dog.

Louis meadows is the owner of the company, who informs that the technique development is the result of his hard work on the subject for several years. All one has to do is to send the photograph of the dog, along with the nose print, taken using ink less equipment. On receipt of the said material, the company scans the same to it’s to the nose print database. Then, the company sends a pet identity card to the owner. The identity card will have the photo of the dog, its nose print, and contact information. The collar tag will have company’s free number, owner’s phone number and most importantly the pet’s identification number.

In case the dog is found missing, the owner has to just inform the company either through website or by phone. The company quickly acts on it, by sending the photo, nose print and the description of the dog such as breed, color, size, age etc to the entire list of veterinarian and the animal shelters of the pet owner’s locality, by fax. The company claims that   it also informs the schools located in the same locality, there by providing complete coverage. This really shares the pet owner’s hardship of searching the lost, beloved pet.

The company assures that the “Dog nose ID “is highly reliable, because the other popular dog tag can be lost anywhere. The dog may lose it while fighting or the tag can also be removed by force my miscreants or fraudsters. There are other techniques such as micro chipping or tattooing for dog identification purpose. But the “Dog nose ID” is far more superior as both tattooing and micro chipping are painful and invasive. Most of the pet owners will not like their dog’s to go through this ordeal. Besides this technique is tamper proof and cost effective too considering the advantages that we had discussed just now. Worth going for it, is it not, dear pet lovers?
