I am damn sure that you will adore your dog like anything. But have you ever thought why your pet bark at all hours, hump the pastor’s leg or gnaw your kids’ shoes? There are numerous things you do to make your dog howl. I have listed below top five things that made your dog annoyed.

1. Sleeping Late

Your Max and Fluffy don’t know why you sleep late on weekends at the cost of their walking and sniffing time. Dogs are always time consious. They will always stick on time. Yes!!! They believe that their jpb is to keep owners on the proper schedule.

2. Forcing a Car Ride

Don’t think all the dogs love car drive. Loving or hating the driving based on what happens during or after the ride. Always use the car drive for positive experiences like dog park, atop at drive-in restaurant for a tasty treat rather to trip to vets’ office.

3. Bad Weather Walking

Just like you, dogs also hate going out in bad weather. If you force them to do so, your dog will get annoyed. The bad weather includes romping in snow, going out in the rain. Try to cover your dog with jacket or raincoat to protect dog from bad weather. This will reduce barking. Even you can try to build indoor-potty zone for small breeds that will get affected with chill easily outside.

4. Pusing Him Outside

Most of the dogs love to spend outside during conducive leather. But leaving them alone will hurt his feelings. Incarcerating oustside alone will dig, jump, or climb fences to see you or find company. If you chain him, the dog will get annoyed and pushing him to extreme situation of aggression.

5. Misconstruing His Bark

Barking is a method of communication of boredom, excitement and alarm. Usually, the owner will shout – “Shut up!”. This will increase your dog’s barking. Lonely dogs will bark to releive boredom by talking to themselves. If you pat your dog with “Good Bark”, then he knows you heard him. Then, it will become quiet.

Pets are often a human’s best friend. It can be a dog, a cat, a bird or simply a fish. But a difference between your human best friend and your animal best friend is that the former is self-dependent while the latter requires you to take its responsibility. Having a pet can actually add a lot of life to your house. Imagine you return from your office completely exhausted and your entire spirit totally drained out. As you enter the gate, your pet dog comes running to you wagging its tail so vigorously that it almost seems like it’s going to hurt him. It nearly jumps on you simulating a hug and clings onto you making cute little sounds, pushing its wet nose against your hands and licking you at the same time. Isn’t that a scene worth watching? Don’t you feel totally invigorated after that jocund greeting? This is exactly what the presence of a pet does to you and your house. It reduces your stress, gives you an emotional pump and many times a better physical health too.

Remember, your pet is not a show piece. It is a living being. It eats drinks, moves around and plays. It also gets angry, falls sick and feels sad. So, merely buying a pet and cuddling it everyday, won’t put a full stop to your responsibilities. You need to take special care of it and give it a lot of attention. Here help is at hand, providing you with some tips on the things you need to do for keeping your pet in good shape.

Be it a cat, a dog, a rabbit or a bird, you need to train it well. Unless you do this, both of your lives will be hell. It is very important to build a good communication between you and your pet. Like if your dog poops on your favorite bed sheet, all it needs is a dog whisperer potty training. Dog whisperers are experts on canine communication. You can hire them for the first few weeks till your pet learns all the ways. Likewise, you get trainers for all kinds of pets.

Give your pet proper food and water. Do not over-feed or under-feed them. Keep them clean. Give them proper baths and if they are furry, brush them regularly. Use special pet products to nurture them. Ensure their kennel, cage or basket is in good condition.

Spend quality time with them else they will lose their mirth. For mammals, you will need a proper space for its physical exercise. Also be regular with their vaccines. Try to predict when your pet is getting ill. If you closely observe their behavior you will be able to figure this out. For example, a dog’s nose becomes dry and it responds slowly to your commands when it falls sick. Every pet becomes quiet when they are ill and when you notice such behavior, immediately take measures. Take it to a vet for proper treatment. It would be better if you don’t start your own diagnosis as a dog fever is very different from a human fever.

Keep your pets happy and help it to keep you happy!

It is important that the environment in the home is safe for your pet. Just like the precautions we take in a home that has babies it is important to pet-proof your house. Keep the toxic substances and other items like electrical cords, medicines, food, and cleaning supplies away from the reach of the pets as they easily get to them.

Regular checkups help to keep your pet healthy. Although you might have to spend some money for that, it is worthy to spend for a vet. Make sure that you get your doubts clarified during your meeting with the vet. You can also get opinion on getting pet meds like Frontline Plus or Sentinel for your pet’s healthy heart and body. It is important that you feed the right kind of food for your pet as some of them are allergic to certain types of foods. Foods that can be avoided for your pet are garlic, onion, chocolates, alcohol, grapes, trash, and raw yeast. Look for the reactions that your pet has after having foods and have a list that is safe for your pet.

Exercise is very important for your pet to stay healthy. Without exercise they might become bulky. It is necessary that you take them at least for a walk when time permits. You can play with pets like cats in your house itself with laser pointers. Spayed or neutered pets stay healthy and live long. Hence it is necessary that you spay or neuter you pet. It can be done for as low as $10 in programs meant for that.

First aid to an accident dog is most important and this is to be done immediately without any delay. Most of the time, the injured dog may have severe bleeding due to the accident.

If the bleeding is not much, don’t be under the impression that the dog need not be given any first aid immediately. Most of the time, there may be internal bleeding or some hair line fracture could be there internally and hence, the dog need to given first aid immediately. After the treatment keep the dog on some support system and carry it to the nearby veterinary hospital. Don’t ever carry the injured dog in hurry to avoid jerks to dog that in turn will hurt the dog more.

If the bleeding is severe, just lift the dog carefully and try to assess the injured area to find out the point of bleeding. Place some cotton or pure cloth on the bleeding points and immediately try to transfer the dog to a nearby veterinary hospital for further treatment.

Even ice cubes can be placed at the injured area to arrest the bleeding. Be very careful while placing the ice cubes at the injured area as it would be painful to the dog and sometimes the dog will not to allow you to keep the ice cube.

If you suspect any fracture as in, the dog cries due to intense pain and is unable to move its limb or at the bony regions of the body, don’t make any movement of the dog’s body and just keep the limbs in an immobilized state and take it to a nearby hospital dealing with pet animals.

If the animal vomits due to the accident encountered, don’t try to control the vomiting by forceful closure of the mouth region. Allow the animal to vomit and in such cases, lowering of the head region may even facilitate the vomiting. This in turn often helps to avoid the development of aspiratory type of pneumonia in the
concerned dog.

You may also find the temperature of the injured dog by touching the animal. If you feel the body temperature of the dog is not that of normal temperature that is if you feel that the body temperature is too low then cover the body of the injured dog with warm clothes to the dog in warm condition. Effort like this may give some kinds of immediate relief to the dog in keeping up of the hermoregulatory mechanisms in a right manner.

Similarly, when the dog’s body is very hot, try to place the ice cubes in polythene bag and place the bag over the head region which in turn helps to minimize the effects of hyperthermia in the concerned dog.

If the dog is motionless after the accident, try to go for the cardiac massage particularly when you feel the absence of heartbeats in the concerned dog. However, provision of warm temperature to the dog in addition to the proper care by tackling the thermo regulatory mechanisms during the first aid will help the dog to have more chances of survival.

So remember to give proper first aid to the dog met with an accident without any delay for quick recovery of the dog from further deterioration of the injured dog.

The decision to spay or neuter the dog needs to be taken whenever you find some solid reason like over population of the dogs in an area. When there is over population, many dogs become stray dogs wandering in streets without receiving proper care. These dogs may even be hit, often by speeding vehicles or killed by the wild animal species.

When the dog becomes adult, the marking behavior becomes highly significant and hence, the carpets etc. may get spoiled due to these activities. Hence, the pet owner may be compelled to go for the decision of neutering or spaying of their dog.

If you just review the occurrence of tumors in case of male dogs, you may get astonished on the existence of prostate or testicular tumors in them. When you take a decision about the neutering of the male dogs, then the incidences of such occurrences of tumors might get often reduced. Because of this fact due to the hormonal changes due to the neutering activity, many pet owners may often attempt to go with the decision of neutering their male dogs.

Among the female dogs, many a times, there is occurrence of mammary tumors and one or more mammary glands get involved. If such dogs are earlier subjected to the spaying operation wherein the uterus and the both ovaries of the dog are removed by systematic surgical measures, then such tumor occurrence rarely affects those dogs.

Hence, before taking decision, all these features are to be taken care of by the pet owners. Perhaps, pet animal specialist may be consulted on when to spay or neuter their pet dogs.

The decision on spaying gets more support when the pet animal owner encounters more incidences of soiling of their carpet or very valuable materials in the house by the bloody vaginal discharge when their female dog gets into heat cycle.

Bleeding like activity from the vaginal cavity may happen for few days when the female dog is in the heat period. Hence, the owner is sometimes forced to take a decision on spaying of their pet dogs to avoid such problems in future.

Many a time, the males that get neutered become less problematical in terms of aggression. Hence, the decision about the neutering of the dogs often depends on whether the wants their dog to have a lesser degree of aggression of their dogs towards other dogs or nearby persons.

Your male dog may be engaged in roaming or the female dog becomes more receptive to the male dogs of any breeds when the female dogs are in the heat period.

Hence, the decision on neutering of male dog or the spaying of female dog gets more significance if you don’t want such problems to be encountered at your end.

Though you can decide on the need of spaying or neutering of your dog at your side, the period at which these operations are to be carried out is to be decided by the pet animal veterinarian. Generally, a decision is taken when the pet animal is less than six months old.

Prophylaxis is one of the vital components in the maintenance of health status of oral structures, particularly the teeth. Dog dental care is most important thing in general dog care. Brushing away of your worries on dog’s health needs a basic maintenance of good teeth structures in your dog. Lets have some information with regard to the dog dental care. Yes!!1 Preventive care pertaining to dental structures of dog is important.

Dog dental care comprises the regular brushing of your dog’s teeth with a suitable brush. Hence, the building up of tartar may be highly avoided. Similarly, the brushing activity helps to remove the plaque that gets formed over a period.

However, some pet owners may not be able to brush the teeth of their dogs due to various reasons. They might think that they are failed in dog dental care.

In such cases, the veterinarian needs to be approached. The pet specialist or the veterinarian will undertake the cleaning procedures using an ultrasonic scalar and this helps to avoid the secondary bacterial infections at the oral regions. Hence, Stomatitis or development of ulcerations at gum may be totally avoided to a greater extent.

Alcohol free preparations containing zinc and chlorhexidine compounds are frequently used in many commercial types of oral rinses meant for the dogs. Such rinses may be procured and used daily. The oral rinses help to a greater extent to prevent the building up of tartar and plaque between the brushings.

Some times, prescription diets may be purchased to keep the teeth structures of your dog in a healthy status.

Simple Tips For Dog Dental Care

Select good toothpastes for your dogs. Most of the times, the toothpastes used for dogs have hydrogen per oxide in them. However, to make it more acceptable, many commercial firms have added beef or poultry flavors.

Hence, you need to select such products. This helps the dog to have a routine application of the paste. You can also use the baking soda with water mixed as a paste and use it once or twice in a week. This also helps to prevent the dental problems. Finger toothbrush and dual ended toothbrush are available in the commercial fields.

Periodical checking of the oral structures is one of the vital steps required for perfect dog dental care, which in turn help in the prevention of the dental diseases in your dog.

If there is any broken teeth or any reddish areas noticed in the mouth, immediately take a note of it and consult your pet animal specialist. Most of the times, the gingivitis may be encountered along with dental diseases in your dog. Hence, by proper checking up of these, one can avoid the dental problems.

Similarly, if you encounter the bad breath and excessive salivation, then also you need to consult the veterinarian who in turn can rule out the dental problems. Thorough examination of the tooth structures in many dogs may be possible as a preventive measures after the immobilization of the dog by using drugs.

Dog owners need to take an extra care towards the dog dental care, if you have small sized breeds like Pekingese and Shihtzu. The building up of tartar and plague may occur in a faster manner in these breeds because of the crowding of many teeth inside the small sized oral structures.

Always try to give some mineral based bone toys especially for the puppies. Hence, the teeth structures get strengthened during the biting activities. However, you need to see the label about the contents. Hope you have some ideas on dog dental care. Have a happy brushing!!!

The pet dog can eat many things that a human being eats. Raw diet is better. Raw diet is nothing but the food that was not cooked and the one that doesn’t have any fillers or added ingredients. The raw diet usually consists of raw egg, raw meet, bones and few vegetables. It is needless to mention that raw dog food is much better than commercial dog foods. You may wonder why it is so. The raw dog food contains ingredients that are natural, organic and fresh. The dog’s health will be at its prime if fed with raw food.

Raw dog food will make the dull coat to look shiny and healthy. Raw dog food will help to prevent the bad breath. The digestion of the food will be better and the stamina of the dog will also be good. Raw food increases the muscle mass and does a lot to reduce the unwanted fat from the body. Hence the dog will look much better in shape.

In addition to this the raw dog food will boost the metabolic rate, general health condition thereby increasing the life span of the dog. The other advantage of the raw food is that it is much cheaper than the cooked or commercial food. As the raw food is healthy and also cheap, why should one hesitate to go for the same?

What type raw food is good for dog? Chicken is definitely better as the fat content of the same is much less compared to the other red meats such as beef and mutton. While giving chicken, one should be careful in avoiding the bone portion. Because the bones are very brittle and the splinters can cause damage to the internal organs of the dog. You can consider giving raw quail and turkey too.

Beefs can be included, but in small quantity. The bones can be mixed with beef. The dogs have the ability to digest the bones of the buffaloes. The puppies can also be fed with raw food. But you need to be extra careful, while doing so, because the puppies can’t chew as good as adult dogs. Add as much as fruits, vegetables and whole grains, your dog will be healthy and active.

Dogs are the beloved pets. There are few who love to have dog as pet, but develop allergic reactions. The reactions can be manifested in the form of sniffling, sneezing, and running nose. Very odd is it not. These poor people suffer due to dog related allergies, in order to enjoy the proud feeling of owning a puppy.

Do you know, what are the causative agents for these allergies to develop? There are many to pint out, but in most cases it is due to the saliva and dander of the dog. Danders are nothing but the tiny particles that are released from the skin and hair of the pet dog. These airborne tiny particles are trapped in carpets, upholstery and curtains. The saliva too cause the same kind of trouble once dried. If the exposure to these dangers and the saliva is limited, then the chances for the allergic reactions are very minimal.

How to fight the dangers and saliva?

There are ways to tackle the dangers and salvia. Here they are 1.Heap filter. This is nothing but high efficiency, electro static particulate air cleaner. If this cleaner is used to clean the complete house, the possibility of dog allergy is very less.

2. Vacuum cleaner- frequent cleaning of the house especially the curtains, carpets and upholstery using vacuum cleaner will help to a great extend. If required these carpets can be removed once for all and can be replaced with tile or wood or linoleum floor.

3. The dog needs to be washed at least two times in a month. Too frequent bathing needs to be avoided as it may affect the health of the dog. Frequent bath can make the skin dry, which will resulting the formation more danders. In case the dog doesn’t like the bathing, then one can practice brushing. Even wiping the dog with wet cloth serves the purpose. If the one you have at home is a puppy, it is better to make her used to bathing.

If all the above mentioned tips are effective, then you have no other alternative but to consult the doctor. He can prescribe medication to sensitize the immune system of your body to these allergic agents. The disadvantage here is the high cost of the medication and the long duration of the use.

New techniques

Anti -IgE is the new drug that helps to counter the dog allergy. This drug needs to administer via parental route, 1 or 2 injections in a month’s time. This drug helps the susceptible person to live comfortably with the dog.

This drug is a perfect replacement for those who need to use s inhalers or steroids [oral]. As per the study conducted, nearly 55 percent of the people, who have used this drug, hadn’t to use the steroids or inhalers. Besides that the side effects that accompany the usage of steroids are kept at bay here. The inflammatory reactions are very much reduced, when IgE is used. IgE is the antibody which causes the cells to release histamine which results in allergic reactions. Hence by using this IgE, we actually address the root cause of the problem by blocking the antibody, instead of treating only the symptoms. Hence the treatment is full proof.
